Hunting

Bearshield Lodge is located in the heart of big buck country in close proximity to Brown, Adams & Schuyler counties in west central Illinois. Although hunting is strictly prohibited at the lodge, there are numerous great outfitters in the area or ground to lease for your own hunting needs. The lodge includes a hunting locker room for all guests to keep their gear organized along with a winch and pole to hang your deer. There is a deer processor nearby (Alvin Yoder- 217-322-7519) to get your meat taken care of along with a taxidermist In Clayton, IL only a few miles away to get your trophy caped out or mounted if you so desire.
